Employees’ State Insurance Corporation which is a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament (ESI Act, 1948) and works under the administrative control of Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, invites application for immediate engagement of Teaching Faculty in the post of Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor in ESI-PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College, Joka

Qualification Details:

For Position : Professor

1. Education &Experience : Academic Qualifications: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject. Teaching and Research Experience:

i. Associate Professor in the subject for three years in a permitted/ recognized medical college/ institution.

ii. Should have at least four Research publications (at least two as Associate Professor) [only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed , Central Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ) will be considered]. The author should be among the first three or corresponding author.

iii. Should have completed the basic course in Medical Education Technology from in situations designated by NMC. iv. Should have completed the Basic course in Biomedical Research from Institutions designated by NMC.

Academic Qualifications: MD/DNB (Emergency Medicine) OR MD/MS/DNB in General Medicine, Gen. Surgery, Resp. Medicine, Anesthesia, Orthopedics. Teaching and Research Experience:

i. As Associate Professor for three years in Emergency Medicine or Subjects as mentioned above (General Medicine, Gen. Surgery, Resp. Medicine, Anesthesia, Orthopedics) in permitted/ recognized/ medical college/institution.

ii. Special training for three years in Emergency Medicine in a teaching Institution/Centre of Excellence with dedicated service in Emergency Medicine.

iii. Should have at least four Research publications (at least two as Associate Professor) [only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed , Central Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ) will be considered]. The author should be among the first three or corresponding author.

iv. Should have completed the NMC recognized basic course in Medical Education Technology.

v. Should have completed the basic course in Biomedical Research from Institution(s) designated by NMC.

3. Salary : Rs. 2,28,942/-

For Associate Professor

1. Education &Experience : MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject.

i. As Assistant Professor in the subject for four years in a permitted /recognized medical college/ institution.

ii. Should have at least four Research publications (at least two as Associate Professor) [only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed , Central Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ) will be considered]. The author should be among the first three or corresponding author.

iii. Should have completed the basic course in Medical Education Technology from Institutions designated by NMC. iv. Should have completed the basic course in Biomedical Research from Institutions designated by NMC

Should have at least four Research publications (at least two as Associate Professor) [only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed , Central Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ) will be considered]. iv. Should have completed the NMC recognized basic course in Medical Education Technology. v. Should have completed the basic course in Biomedical Research from Institution(s) designated by NMC

3. Salary : Rs. 1,52,241/-

For Assistant Professor

1. Education &Experience : MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject. Teaching and Research Experience: One year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized/ permitted medical college after acquiring MD/MS Degree.

a) Determination of equivalence of the qualification of DNB (Broad Specialties) with MD/MS The Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in broad specialty and super specialty qualifications when granted in a medical institution with attached hospital or in a hospital with the strength office hundred or more beds, by the National Board of Examinations, shall be equivalent in all respects to the corresponding broad specialty (MD/MS) and super specialty (DM/MCh) postgraduate qualification, but in all other cases, senior residency in a medical college for an additional period of one year shall be required for such qualification to be equivalent for the purposes of teaching.

b) Academic Qualifications: MD/DNB (Emergency Medicine) OR MD/MS/DNB in General Medicine, Gen. Surgery, Resp. Medicine, Anesthesia, Orthopedics Teaching and Research Experience: ii. Special training for three years in Emergency Medicine in a teaching Institution/Centre of Excellence with dedicated service in Emergency Medicine.

c) Determination of equivalence of the qualification of DNB (Broad Specialties) with MD/MS The Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in broad specialty and super specialty qualifications when granted in a medical institution with attached hospital or in a hospital with the strength of five hundred or more beds, by the National Board of Examinations, shall be equivalent in all respects to the corresponding broad specialty (MD/MS) and super specialty (DM/MCh) postgraduate qualification, but in all other cases, senior residency in a medical college for an additional period of one year shall be required for such qualification to be equivalent for the purposes of teaching.

Important Notes :

1. In addition to the pay above, the medical Officers will be entitled for transport allowance with DA on transport allowance as per rules. DA on transport allowance will be revised from time to time as per rules.

2. As and when the orders for revision of rates of DA are issued by GoI, the consolidated pay shall be raised by an amount equal to DA on the sum of the minimum pay of the pay level mentioned against the post and 20% NPA thereon.

3. Certain specialties like Statistics, Anatomy, Physiology, and Pharmacology for which non-medical teaching faculties may be hired, the engagement will be at same rates as for medical teaching faculty except that their consolidated remuneration will be arrived after reducing the element of NPA.

4. a) Candidates with eligibility for a higher post, i.e. Professor/ Associate Professor, would be permitted to be interviewed against a lower post, i.e. Associate/ Assistant Professor. b) In event of selection of such candidates, the candidate would be considered for placement with suitable upgradation of the lower post as per eligibility; and recommendation of the selection board.

5. No other allowances will be paid.

6. No TA/DA will be admissible for joining the institution or medical test and for submission of other documents.

7. No Private practice is allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC.

8. Retired candidates from Central/ State Govt. / PSU from the equivalent posts are eligible to apply. Persons working in recognized/ approved Private Medical Institutions fulfilling eligibility criteria for the post may also apply
